The Ultimate Summer Vacation Packing List

Can we talk about the absolute worst part of traveling?

Yeah. It’s the packing.

Am I the only one puts this off for as long as possible? I end up regretting that decision, the night before we leave-knee deep digging through laundry, trying to sort out unlabeled mystery travel bottles of shampoo or body wash or wait, is that lotion? Ugh. Can’t we just fast forward through all of that and jump in the car or on the plane and be on our merry way?

The only thing that rivals it is the unpacking. Don’t even get me started there.

For summer vacations, I’m a chronic over-packer.

As my husband  (who has to lug all of my bags around) can attest to, I sort of give up and just pack everything-especially if we aren’t flying and I don’t have those baggage requirements.

Obviously I could use some help in the organization of packing. Luckily, my mother’s organizational skills make up for my lack thereof. I asked to see her packing list before our 4th of July vacation and she emailed me an entire folder of different packing lists! Score! This Summer Vacation Packing list is too good not to share.
