I can’t even believe I’m in the midst of the third Trimester already. All of a sudden, time seems to have gone by so quickly!

I’m 31 weeks along, and we are more excited than ever to meet baby girl!

My amazing little sister took some time to shoot some maternity photos for me, and I’m so excited to share a few of them with you! I picked 2 outfits for 2 different locations. So as to not overload you with a million pictures, I’ll share the other group of photos next week! I’m beyond pleased with how she got some great shots in such a short time frame. Especially considering the fact that it was so cold and this was our second location so I was ready to be done. I’m glad we pressed on to get them!

To be honest, I really debated on even doing a maternity shoot. but now I’m so glad I did…

In these photos, I caught a humbling glimpse of the beauty in how God created my body in such a unique and special way to carry this child.

Sure, I might feel awkward and big at times, but this swollen belly is something to celebrate. Thanks for capturing that, Holly.

Most days I’ve been feeling quite well! But usually when evening hits, i start waddling around and oh my, I feel every bit of those 31 weeks.

I’m still making it over to the gym, but I’m continuing to slow down and just do what feels best for my body that day.  In contrast, my appetite has definitely picked up! Occasionally I eat half of a box of cereal in one sitting for a snack (oops). But most other times I’m able to make some healthier choices. Favorite snacks lately: different combinations of almonds, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and fresh fruit!

Baby and I have had good reports from our doctors visits. I failed the (dreaded) initial gestational diabetes test and had to go in for the 3 hour lab test. Not fun. At all. This was frustrating to me at first because I’ve been generally pretty careful with my eating (minus those occasional overeating on the cereal) and I’ve been working out regularly, so I felt like i should have been OK. However, every body is different and reacts differently to pregnancy. I was quite anxious about my results, but I was trusting in the Lord and decided to not freak out if I didn’t pass. Many women have it, and I knew I’d just need to follow the doctors orders on whatever lifestyle changes to make in order to keep us healthy! I did pass, however, so I’m in the clear!

We are still busy working on home projects and the nursery.

When I get home in the evening from nannying the darling littles, I’m usually exhausted, so much of the work has been on the weekends, making it a rather slow process. We’ve gotten past some of the more tedious tasks, like painting trim/baseboards, cleaning all the carpets in the house, and fixing/repairing little things here and there. Hopefully we’ll get some paint on the nursery walls this weekend!

I’ve had one baby shower already, hosted by my Mother in Law and her side of the family. Oh my heart, it was such a lovely time together. I was blown away by the generosity and wonderful gifts! As soon as I got home, Ryan started putting together some of our gifts!

Ladies, is it just me, or is there something so attractive and sweet about watching your husband put together nursery furniture and baby gear?

I think that about covers things! Let me know if I missed anything you want to hear about, and as always, thanks for following along on this darling little life journey. I’m so blessed by all of you! Stay tuned next week for the other half of the photo shoot!
