Floral Garden 1st Birthday Party

My Niece, Autumn, turned 1 this month! We love her sweet smiles and she’s showing her personality more every day. I had the privilege of helping my sister put together this adorable little family birthday party! This floral garden 1st birthday party had a fresh, simple, feminine feel with whites and pinks and touches of gold in the decor here and there. Keep reading for all the details…

Outfit Details:

I can’t get over Autumns darling romper. The eyelet lace, the tied bow on her shoulder, and that sweet peachy pink color is just perfect! Best thing- it’s less than $15! You can buy it on Amazon.

My dress is from last summer at Target. I’ve been trying to find similar looks, but nothing is popping up. I’ll update the post and let you know if I come across anything!

Tablescape:

We kept the tablescape pretty simple- crisp white table linens with some white block candles, fake flowers/Ivy, most of which we already had on hand to save with costs.

Light pink paper plates and white paper napkins made for a quick cleanup (who really wants to be washing dishes when there is fun to be had with family?). I made some paper napkin ring holders that doubled as place cards. We wrapped the napkins around regular flatware rather than plastic flatware so that they would weigh the plates down since it was an outside party! I didn’t get the best snapshot of them, but for the design I used a cute font for the names and some watercolor flowers. We added the gold glittery scrapbook paper to make them “pop” against the white napkin.

Food tablescapes:

More white linens and fake flowers, some gold chargers and a bunch of white serving dishes made for a festive look. SWOON. I’m obsessed with white dishes (if you’ve seen my kitchen, you already know this). Instead of a birthday banner, my sister used a chalk marker to write on an old window and framed it with more flowers. I used a super easy technique to transfer my computer design to the chalkboards to make these darling menus!

Food:

We kept it casual and picnic-y with a “make your own sandwich bar” (don’t forget the crustless PB&J for the kids), and some easy sides like chips, deviled eggs, pasta salad, and fruit! For dessert, we had cookies and sherbet served in little mason jars as a fun, summery alternative to cake. Autumn really enjoyed her personal “smash cake”!

Autumn’s Grandpa built her a beauitful bookshelf as a gift, so everyone gave her books to put on the shelves! Everyone excpet me, that it… This Auntie missed the memo and got her two adorable dresses instead. oops! 😉
